Ragi semiya - Ingredients - Ragi, Wheat, Cluster bean powder, water, salt.
Millet semiya - Ingredients - Multi Millets (kodo, ragi, little millet, barnyard, foxtail), wheat, cluster bean powder, water, salt.
Method to use - soak in plain water with salt for 30 second. Make sure the salt is dissolved before soaking. Drain well and steam in a steamer / idli plates. In a kadai, do tadka, saute sliced onions, green chillies, ginger. Add veggies of your choice. Saute. Add the steamed semiya.
Alternatively, soak in boiling water for less than a minute, drain and set aside. Temper your pan and proceed to cook like regular semiya.
Method for sweet semiya - soak in water for 30 seconds with salt. Drain. Steam. Add grated coconut and jaggery / sugar. Mix and serve immediately.
