Black Pepper Rasam - a soothing, healing broth for winter!
Ingredients - Toor dal, red chillies, dhania, black pepper, jeera, curry leaves, hing.
To use - To a pot, add tamarind extract, from a small gooseberry sized tamarind. Add 1 spn rasam powder ( this serves 4-5 people ), let it boil gently for about 10 minutes. Tadka - ghee, mustard seeds, jeera, red chillies, curry leaves. You can add a small bit of jaggery to balance the flavours. Dal is not added for Black pepper rasam.
