Angaya podi is said to relieve fatigue, stomach upset, aches and pains. This is mostly used as a post partum food, but can be used by anyone. Mix a spoonful with hot rice and ghee for consume regularly for an improved gut function. The bitterness is unavoidable, from the ingredients that go into it. You can also use this powder to make a tea, add some honey to mellow down the bitterness before you consume the tea (optional).
