Ingredients

Orange peel from 5 oranges - washed, dried and chopped into small pieces

Sesame oil
-
Mustard seeds
-
Fenugreek seeds

Asafoetida
-
MK Pure Turmeric powder
-
Tamarind
-
MK Pure red chilli powder
-
Sambar powder - MK Tanjore Style

Jaggery
-
Salt
-
Juice of 1 orange
Directions
Wash and dry the peels
Chop the peels into small pieces
Heat Sesame oil , add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, asafoetida, 1 tsp turmeric powder and add the orange pieces.
Add salt to taste
Cover and cook till the peels soften
Add thick tamarind extract .1.5 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp sambar powder, and 1 tbsp jaggery
Boil until it starts thickening
After it cools, add juice of one orange.
Recipe Note
Best paired with curd rice or molakkottal.
