Although I did not askher for the recipe specifically, she had said it’s just like our carrot kosmalli.
Ingredients

Knol Khol / Kohl Rabu - grated
-
Coconut - grated
-
Fresh coriander
-
Lemon
-
Moong Dal - pre soaked
-
Green Chillies
-
Salt
Directions
Grate tender Knol khol ( kohl rabi)
Chop green chillies finely ( to taste)
Temper with any neutral oil ( peanut is my choice), mustard seeds, curry leaves, chopped green chillies.
Add the tempering to the grated knol khol.
- Add chopped fresh coriander.
- Add salt and lemon juice to taste.
- Optional addition - I like to soak split moong dal for an hour and then drain and microwave it a bit. I also add this to my raw salads for added nutrition plus a nice bite.
You could try this with a combo of grated carrot, beetroot and knol khol.
