Simple crispy snack for tea time
Ingredients

Channa Dal - ¾ cup

Green Chillies - 3-4 or to taste

Ginger - a small piece
-
Oil for frying

Salt to taste
Directions
Soak channa dal for an hour. I used about 3/4 cup which yielded about 11-12 medium sized vadais.
- Grind together soaked channa dal, green chillies, ginger and red chillies to a coarse thick consistency.
- Add salt of course, while grinding.
- Set aside some soaked channa dal and add this to the ground mixture, this will lend a good bite when you fry. Chillies to your taste please.
- Heat oil, fry on a medium heat until the colour darkens. And that's it !
Recipe Note
Add saunf / corriander leaves / mint leaves for extra flavor
Fry just before serving for best results !
